I faced a mass of angry bus riders...

I decided to take the bus (probably for the last time) and as I got on, literally everyone was staring me down probably angry for making the bus make a stop. The bus driver started screaming, "Are you getting on or not?" It's not like I hesitated, but if I did it was only for a second as I noticed all those angry stares. The driver instructed me like he thought I didn't know what to do, "If you are getting on, you have to go sit down; you can't stand here up-front."

So, I got off, the bus pulled away with everyone staring at me through the windows. I literally ran back home to drive to work. I arrived a little late, but except for that flat-chested woman who is literally always on my case, no one really noticed. After I got settled and started my work, she came over and asked if I had trouble getting up today with a sneer and started explaining her morning routine to me. I just raised my eyebrow without saying anything and thankfully my phone rang. I stared at her as I started talking (on the phone) and she walked away. I'm sure she will bring this up again for the drama of it that she seems to find so satisfying,

Get some professional psychiatric/psychological help!
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer Yeah, but I don't think I need that. Do you understand what actually happened?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul You are becoming hysterical over a non significant event.

That requires some type of professional help. Not open discussion over such a non event.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer Nonevent? I guess you can say I diffused the situation into a nonevent.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul you refused to handle it! That is not a solution. It's running away from the situation!

That requires professional help.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer Well, it literally was an angry mob. I didn't really run away. The bus driver was yelling at me.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul because you were rude by not getting on the bus! Then not following the rules when you did so.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer Rules...? No, no, no. That's not it. I got on the bus and then everyone was staring me down at once so I wasn't sure about moving forward and the bus driver started yelling at me... so I had to get off.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul no, no no you were being rude to them! You where holding the hole bus up!

It's called social etiquette!
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer Well maybe I was, but if I did it was only for a second.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul then your time frame is totally different than theirs and you must make up for it!
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer Well, it wasn't my fault. They didn't all have to be staring me down at the same time. That's not normal.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul no it's not socially normal to have a slow reaction time under 30 years old.

You're not 66! You're not disabled. You're not handicapped either!

You have no excuse!
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer I told you; I didn't have a slow reaction. Everyone could see I was just sizing up the situation in front of a hostile crowd.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul and that
sizing up the situation

Alienate them. Because it slowed down the situation.

You need professional help on this. This is not the place for it.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer I don't think that kind of help would help me. I handled the situation and had a back-up plan that I put into action. Yeah, it wasn't an ideal situation all around, but it's not like I didn't work out a solution. Give credit where credit is due.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul no credit is due until you seek professional help!

I don't like belittling people on here!
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer I'm a professional. I don't need help. You don't understand the situation. That's like telling someone they need help because they started to do one thing and then switched to an alternate plan. I call that being resourceful.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul no psychologist or psychiatrist would self diagnose! They have their own colleagues for that!

Hence the saying; physician heal thyself!

It's not possible because of that "GREEK" saying!
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer Well, I'm just saying if I need some kind of professional help, I think I would know. Professional help is not something that is going to help in a situation like this. Plain and simple: It's not a psychological problem. Maybe that will clear things up for you.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul no are being obtuse and and self absorbed on top of all that.

Seek help!
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer Help for what???
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul psychological help!
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer Repeat... for what????
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@MarkPaul for your psychological problems that you refused to acknowledge!
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@DeWayfarer Getting off the bus is now a psychological problem in your view of the world? That's messed up.
