Now do it in a group!
Six or more should be the goal.
If you feel uncomfortable then it's still social anxiety.
BTW my problem comes in more than 50. And even that is still social anxiety.
Stage fright with hundreds is still social anxiety.

@DeWayfarer I speak in front a group all the time. I told you, I don't have social anxiety, I don't have stage fright. I'm not anti-social. What don't you get?

@MarkPaul I'm mean in a social setting.
I have problems in SOCIAL settings!
Heck I've played guitar with over 100 people. It's not the same as a social setting.
Put me in bar and I will likely leave!
You're no different! When you're speaking to a group you are in control.
Same with me when I taught a credit union, how to use their computers. I was the teacher. BTW I got a letter of recommendation from that!

@DeWayfarer I'm not like that. Maybe I was at one time, to a degree. But, not now.

I used to get irritated a lot when someone would just talk to me but I figured it wasn't getting me anywhere.
My son used to be very "difficult" but now he interacts with strangers like they are old friends. I asked him about that and he said, "Well you know you can always be an 4sshole later if needed but for the first time, it's easier to be polite".

I'll bet most people on social media who mention "the gym" have never been to a gym in their adult lives.

@SmileOnYourBrother Wow, so you're still smarting over my throw-away comment. Cheer up you sad sack bloke. All is not lost. You can still let your neighbours know you are an Internet touch guy. I'll keep your secret. 🙊🍌

@SmileOnYourBrother I do not imagine most people would blatantly lie about going to the gym.
I haven't been in one in a few decades, I wonder how many selfie wh*res are typically there these days?

@Punches On social media? Sure they would, to give the impression that they are in shape, same as they lie about their age and use 20+ year old profile pics.
One stop at a time on the treadmill. 🤣
