@Musicman My older brother rented a gas Class A last year to drive from eastern iowa to Tuscon, Arizona, with his family, he told me he barely made it over the New Mexico passes.

@NativePortlander1970 In a gas powered Class A I believe it. Going down the mountain had to be scary too. I have heard of people burning up their brakes coming down the mountain. The diesel powered ones have much more torque and power. Plus coming down the mountain we have the engine brake too.

@Musicman He said it was white knuckle, he took the northern route to Las Vegas, caught 15 there, then 80 east in SLC, a far easier route back.

@Musicman I will in the future look into a diesel F250 to F350 and a toy hauler camper with my UTV and ATV inside.

@Musicman Years ago it was a dream of mine to get a diesel Class C and travel the states contingent on the seasons just to see all the museums and historical societies I could, then eat dinner in those areas best steak and/or bbq joints, then I got sick permanently sidelined by blood clots in my lungs, two bouts.

@WillaKissing I hope you do. We love traveling. We have a Class A diesel pusher. I love going out for 6 to 8 weeks at a time. It is so much fun 🙂

@Musicman Not at all, I didn't get the clot shot, even with medical exemption, I'll never be put on any transplant list.

@Musicman I was never on it, very long story why.

@NativePortlander1970 So they won't let you have the transplant? What do they expect you to do???

@Musicman I was on state medicaid when I got my second bout of lung clots, now I'm on ss medicare, neither would/will authorize or pay for transplants even before the clot shots were mandatory for transplants.

@Musicman They expect me to eventually die in my sleep.

@Musicman It does, state medicaid, then ss medicare, refuse to authorize it without saying why.
