Sea Galley. It was a great seafood chain, kind of like Red Lobster, but the prices were much more reasonable. I think a few Sea Galley restaurants may still exist in other locations, but they're long gone from my area.

White front, k-mart, army-navy stores? Are they still around?

@ronisme1 The last Kmart here in the Chicago area closed a couple of years ago. The chain is still surviving, somehow.

I had a friend in high school with last name Walden. We called him Waldenbooks. Then later just "Books."

Don't know if it was nationwide or not. But we had MacFrugal's and Pic N Save. They're now Big Lots.

Doggie Diner. Had the best chili dogs and fries. When I was a child they were an occasional treat. They closed back in 1986.

@Stereoguy When I was kid, we had a couple a of restaurant chains here that my family really liked. One was Ponderosa, and the other was Sizzler. Lot's of good memories.
