Nope,drivers responsibility. He's in charge. His load, his everything. I was a driver. It's the way it is.

There is like a handle thingy or crank that you use to adjust the weight load in the trailer .that crank moves your tires forward or backwards depending on where it’s needed.. I think .. my dad was a trucker and I know we got pulled into some weigh stations sometimes and had to fix it that way

I totally agree with this I've been told/expected to do a lot of shady shit in most of the jobs I've had.

I wonder how anyone knows, before they get to the way station, how much a truck weighs and where the weight is concentrated.
I have loaded a lot of trucks with some pretty heavy stuff and not once seen a way to weigh the truck.
