The reason dogs like to chew on various plastic items is that they use rendered beef grease to make some of these plastics. Dogs can smell it even when we can’t and it tempts them to start chewing on the stuff

When you get the new one make sure you find a way to protect it from Daisy!

You can wrap electric tape around it.
