Whats it like in a weed store?

I've only been to one. And despite the definite prevalence of that sweet aroma, the vast majority of the retail space was not devoted to weed, but to its derivatives and products that deliver THC without the inconvenience of truly smoking it. That did catch me by surprise - far more edibles and drinks than actual canisters of flower.

The other notable aspect of our visit(in Denver) was that we turned over our State ID's through a bullet-proof teller-window upon entering, and then waited in a double locked room while they ran quick & basic checks on us. By 'double locked' I mean not only could we not enter the cannabis dispensary till that door was unlocked, we couldn't go back out the door through which we entered.

So although I enjoyed my visit - and the employees were very helpful & patient - it wasn't like a visit to a head shop.

No biggie. You walk in, show your ID, and then either tell the bud tender what you want or describe the effect you’re looking for and they’ll recommend a strain for it. It’s like any other store really, but more helpful.

You can get more weed for your money , if the weed is so good the seller is smoking while on the job.
