@BlueMetalChick I would probably do the same if I lived where public transportation was convenient. But here in Arizona, it is not.

@eli1601 You guys probably don't have the thick traffic and outrageously expensive parking either.

@BlueMetalChick Its a different mindset here. I was brought up in CT. We took buses all over town and trains to go into NYC.

I don't think Phoenix was like that. It was a small city that has grown into big city in the last 60 years. They never really planned for public transportation and I'm not sure it would have worked as spread out as things are.

They just keep building new highways and while they have light rail and a bus system, people that have to use it say it can take hours to get anywhere on the bus and the light rail is very limited in scope.

Cars are king here and in California too as far as I can tell.
