What was the last holiday shopping nightmare you encountered?

It was years ago when I was a truck driver. I had been out on the road for most of the holiday shopping season and didn't get back until Christmas eve about an hour or so before the stores closed. I rushed in to pick up last minute gifts...and most of the shelves were practically bare. Not much to chose from and time was running out...I think I settled for the worst gifts I'd ever given in my life that year.
