I just had the weirdest encounter.
I was walking down to the gas station for some candy, and on my way back, I ran into a large cluster of roosters strutting around the alley, all crowing loudly. In the winter. At 2:30 a.m. Roosters are supposed to crow at dawn, not in the middle of the night. And why the hell were they running around the alley? This is Chicago, we don't have feral chickens here.
