You have to keep them in separate cages.
Hamster are territorial and will fight to the death if they cant get away from each other.
They will eat their own babies if stressed out.

@Adrift we had hamsters as kids and they never did that.
I’m not buying another.
The girls have gone completely off the one that’s still alive. So I started with two and ended with one nobody likes.

@AdmiralPrune I would just take it back to where you got it.
I had them growing up and had a friend that bred them. I was always told you keep them separated unless it was for breeding.
