Did you know: Hoover the talking seal

Hoover was a you g seal pup found by Scottie Dunning in Maine. After finding the mother unfortunately dead he decided to raise it himself and started by putting in the bathtub and feeding it fish which he ate “like a hoover” hence his name. When he got to big for them to take care of they brought him to the New England Aquarium. For the first five years despite his owners claims he seemed ordinary until one day he felt comfortable enough to talk. He would repeat phrases Scottie had often said and in the same damn accent too. Phrases like come over here, and get over there were said in the usual garbled speech of a new englander. Hoover lived for many years in the harbor before dying from complications from molting but yes, there are recordings of him talking.
