I Love Walking

I love walking. I started many years ago, for exercise. But before too long, I started bike riding. It became a passion for many years.
Over the years, my walking has been sporadic but it seemed to work it's way into being part of my work. Working in property maintenance, I walked miles every day. At my last property, one of my residents gave me a pedometer, and I found that I usually walked about 6 miles a day.
Now that I've retired, I've gotten into a routine of getting up early(as if I could sleep late), throwing on some clothes and I'm out the door for a 3 mile walk. It's a great start for the day and in the Summer, I'm home before it gets too warm. In the Fall and Winter I start about 11am so it's warmed up outside. Best exercise program I know.
We used to walk 8 miles on the coast with our dad.. To go to an island lol

There is Zen quality to walking. You get lost in thoughts.
