This is Tuesday
and I have gotten in 5 miles again today. :-) Next week, if not sooner, I plan to move up to 6 miles a day,and to add another mile a day, each week, until I can't do anymore. 🙂
UPDATE- I actually put in another mile, in the pool. It is kinda cheating because it is easier in water, but I'll take it. For the rest of the week, it is going to be 6 miles a day. :-)
There is freedom in being able to move again, and I don't plan to take this blessing for granted. 🙂
I was rereading my Promethease Report and I found that I have this DNA mutation....
gs282-
claimed to be part of the 12% of the population who can lose weight with any type of exercise. 😃
I also found this one.
rs1935949(C;T)
1.27X likelihood of 'exceptional longevity'
"rs1935949 is an intronic SNP in the FOXO3 gene. rs1935949 demonstrated a significant association with longevity but only among women (odds ratio 1.35, CI:1.15-1.57, adjusted p=0.0093)."
So maybe, just maybe, I do still have time to turn my health around before death. I got this from my grandfather's line. He turns 96 this year, kinda funny that this says the longevity gene only affects females. He is still taking care of himself and three other elderly people. The only physical problem( and no mental problems) he has is one he developed this year, and it is thyroid issues. Oh, well the science will catch up someday. This gives me hope. 🙂
My parents were (my father's is dead, but my 75 year old mom is still here) distantly related and in some ways this has affected my DNA negatively, but in some, pretty awesome ways, it has affected my DNA in positive ways. You have to find the silver lining in all things. :-)
