Do you ever step on a sock in the middle of the night, thinking it's your cat and apologize to it? Oh I'm so sorry I'm so sorry!!

And it's a sock!!!

I'm just used to tripping over my poor cat, all too often, so when it's a sock I think it's her!

I have done that. But usually, when I truly DO step on a cat, the stepping is almost always followed by that electric sound informing me there's no doubt I've stepped on a cat.
