Clumsy attempts to learn tai chi
I needed a gentle exercise while recovering from surgery, and I need something simpler while bound up in IVs. I thought I could handle an exercise which I knew elderly people preferred. That had to be gentle, right?
It’s not easy. Some of the moves are confusing to me. I don’t have much grace either. Awkward movements. That can’t be right. And I’m out of breath, arms tired. I appreciate people who can do this. They’re no slackers. I believe it does provide the exercise I’m needing until I can move on back to yoga and the bike machine (the alternative recommended to me after I was told running was a bad idea right now).
I do wish there was a better explanation for how to achieve some of the moves, because simply watching and copying isn’t something I’m good at.
