I can sympathise with that!
My former employer screened off part of a big store-room to create a gym for staff use.
Flexi-time working meant many of us overlapping lunch-breaks, so sometimes I would enter the store-room while people were using the gym.
I wanted to improve my fitness and strength but every time I entered the building when someone was using the gym, all I could hear was loud boom-boom-boom "music" - no melody, no rhythmn, no variety stuff that sounds like recordings of pile-drivers. I can't be doing with that. I'd rather exercise in silence.
