@NerdyPotato your a funny guy but thx for the answer
Klingwood · 61-69, M
@NerdyPotato I'll take that as a big no which is what I thought
NerdyPotato · M
@Klingwood in what way is that funny? Is that not in the bible? Should we cherry pick what to follow and what to ignore? Based on what criteria?
Klingwood · 61-69, M
@NerdyPotato based on the bible lol
NerdyPotato · M
@Klingwood the bible tells you what parts to follow and which parts to ignore?
Klingwood · 61-69, M
@NerdyPotato that it does or at least how you would explain it
NerdyPotato · M
@Klingwood then why are the parts that should be ignored in there anyway, and still phrased as instructions? If god is all powerful, why did he create a puzzle rather than a clear manual?
Klingwood · 61-69, M
@NerdyPotato it's all about faith and like all history we can learn from it. It's all very good stuff when you get into the depths of it
NerdyPotato · M
@Klingwood it's all about believing you pick and choose the correct sections and ignore the wrong ones? I call that trusting your own judgment rather than following a book, but ok...
Klingwood · 61-69, M
@NerdyPotato if you say so. But honestly you would need to study it to get any understanding out of it and even then with a closed mind you won't get very far
NerdyPotato · M
@Klingwood if you need to study it, it was clearly not meant for the average person to understand. Therefore it can't be all that important. An all powerful god could easily have created a simple ten page booklet of clear instructions, maybe with a more extensive document about the reasoning behind those for people who are interested in that.
Klingwood · 61-69, M
@NerdyPotato your something. You really don't need to study it if you have an open heart to start. But you will want to if your heart is open. I can take a five year old and with simple reading he can know enough to get started on the journey.sorry you find good things for you to much trouble to look into.
NerdyPotato · M
@Klingwood my heart is open, but I don't need a book to know what's right and wrong, exactly because my heart is open.
Klingwood · 61-69, M
@NerdyPotato ohh I can tell lol

In your world of evolution there is no right or wrong for there is no moral compass

@Klingwood Humans, over 200 000 years or there abouts, have evolved to develop the way to work out a moral compass. We don't need a book of "morality" fables to tell us what to do. We work it out for ourselves. We know in our own minds not to steal. We don't need a book of stories of violence and sex, designed to keep multitudes of people under the thumb of the high and mighty and keep them fearful in this world and (for those who do believe), the next. Why else does it command people to love those who rule over them? Because those "rulers" were seen as god's representatives on earth. Displease your king, your god will incinerate your arse.

@autumngirl27 yes you know on your mind because the creator put that in you. But obviously you know very little about the word of god
Klingwood · 61-69, M
@Diotrephes again of you think that is true you know very little of the word of god
