The Bible and Evolution

Science tells us the earth is billions of years old, while the Bible tells us it's about 6000 years old.
The Bible states in several places that 1 day is as a thousand years...
Therefore, the earth could be billions of years old.
The same can be said for God creating everything in 7 days.
7 days could be 7000 years.

Now, The creation account is divided into seven days during which God creates everything, Genesis 1:1-2:4. We don't know for certain if those 7 days = 7000 years. We also don't know if those 7 days were consecutive days.
During that time, (the 7000+ years,) it would be possible for a certain amount of evolution to take place, but that evolution would be a same to same evolution. In other words, a cat would not evolve into a dog, but a cat could evolve into another form of cat. Lions, Tigers, Cheetahs, Panthers, etc are all part of the cat family.

We also do not know just how simple Adam and Eve were. They were very similar to us but probably more Neanderthal than we are now. This could explain what scientists have allegedly proven to be neanderthal existence.

The Bible does prove that we, (humans) did not evolve from apes or crawl out of the ocean as fish.
1 Corinthians 15:38-39 KJV
38. But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
39. All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

So, while there is some sort of evolution of sorts that has taken place, very little of it has taken place with humans. Humans, as well as other living creatures, can evolve according to their environments, but this usually takes generations and takes place extremely gradual.

My view of science and religion is this, there are some mysteries science hasn't been able to solve yet, and when they do, they'll find God
This is absolutely brilliant! Your time and obvious effort have proved rewarding and effective. Much appreciated. How refreshing, your God given sense and faithfulness to God and His Word. Much thanks for this! Keep up the good work. What a joy to read!

I am a scientist and have no issue with both reigion and scientific creation. God creates the rules of physics and chemistry and gives a little nudge...as far as Biblical accounts i have no problem with the inspired word of God being allegorical to teach us His word.

This is about the most intelligent explanation I’ve seen here regarding how faith and scientific reasoning don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Well done and thank you for posting.
@Bearsfan67 I must agree.
