Tadaa! The Bible admits that there is no god!

....Now that's just silly, isn't it?
But that's what creationists do when they deny the science of evolution by quote-mining reputable scientists to make it appear as though they admit that evolution is wrong or that there is an absence of evidence for it.

Quote-mining is deliberately dishonest. If you're a creationist don't do this and more importantly, don't fall for it just because it's what you want to hear.

As usual I don't see the logic in your conclusion.

While I would agree that contextomy as your silly use of scripture is wrong I can easily show to any logical thinking person why that is just as you can with the creationists. Since contextomy would most likely employ a strawman or appeal to authority fallacy by accident or deliberately, it could be dishonest or it could be accidental misunderstanding.

Quote mining . . . I usually only quote something from my opponent, either atheist or theist for the sake of humor or just to demonstrate the opinions of their own appeal to authority. It usually doesn't really mean much to me, it's for the opponent. For example, I will quote the Catholic Encyclopedia plainly stating that hell or the immortal soul isn't scriptural but of pagan origin. Or, science publications on the development of language in our other discussion.
@BibleData

lol what conclusion?
This isn't an argument, bud. It's a a send up of how silly quote mining is and how pointlessly dishonest it is.
If you don't do it then good on ya.
Unfortunately many mainstream YEC are only too happy to deploy this sophistry.

There's no argument here 😉

@Pikachu How does quoting a scientist make it appear as though they admit that evolution is wrong if they don't do that? How is it deliberate or dishonest? It's like saying that people who say there is no such thing as a god are being dishonest for saying that. It isn't a case of dishonesty, it's a case of ignorance. That is the argument.
@BibleData

Um...i'm not sure what's going on in your heard. I think you're just eager to argue with me no matter what the subject lol.

Fact: Mainstream creationist ministries frequently quote mine scientists and scientific publications to make it appear that a) scientists admit that evolution is wrong or b) that scientists corroborate a YEC interpretation of the Bible.
Someone like you may, in ignorance', repeat the product of a quote mine. Organizations like AiG or ICR are not just repeating things they heard from authority because they are the YEC authority. They are deliberately misrepresenting scholarship to bolster their worldview.

lol this is nothing. It is what it is.

You could probably get a spot on CNN.
@Alyosha

I guess i'm not sure what your remark is meant to communicate.

@Pikachu It was funny selection.
@Alyosha

It is funny lol.
That's what quote mining looks like. It's done by people promoting creationism to people decrying vaccines.
It's silly.
