Happy Valentine's day to us forever single and miserable people

30 years in this earth and I never had a romantic valentines.

And with the way my life has turned out to be, I'm not too sure right I ever will.

I suppose one has to stay hopeful no matter what somehow.

It's a manufactured holiday. Honestly, you don't need a specific date on the calendar to express your love to your SO, and you're not a bad or damaged person if you don't have anybody on a specific date on the calendar. The whole thing is mostly promoted by the manufacturers of greeting cards and candy.
