Realizing that I have had a positive impact on someone's life. It is always a surpise when someone tells me, but it makes me feel vital.

That's what gives our existence meaning..... that we made ourself useful in some way to leave a positive impact.

If we know we've done something to make someone's life better or easier, that is what matters.
