Korn opening for Metallica, NYE 1996, San Jose CA.

Korn got into a fist fight just 45 minutes into the set, and after security dragged them off stage Metallica came out almost 2 hours early and played for damn near 7 hours including a double encore after midnight.

@AlittleBitGenX I was! It was amazing!!! James had great little one liners…right before the lights went down for the show he reminded us all there was no smoking in the arena. The lights shut off as he laughed and 50,000 lighters sparked up 50,000 joints 😂

@AlittleBitGenX I was thinking about it. And I think it might have been the midnight countdown…as I recall one of the stage hands was out of position in the overhead walkways and got caught in one of the pyrotechnics. Didn’t see it happen myself, but heard about it the next day
