Who are the best and worst singers you have seen live?

By far the best was Elvis Costello in concert at Bexhill, before he went on world tour. Trying out his material. Magical.

In contrast, Leona Lewis, just could not be bothered, at the Brighton centre, just after she won X factor. She needn’t have turned up, nor should I.
The best concert I have been to was Hardy. The worst was Britney spears (I was 12, don't judge)

Lionel Richie was excellent. As was Cliff Richard. Kylie Minogue was a lot better than I was expecting. Westlife were all spot on. Just before Xmas we saw Tony Christie. He didn't belt the songs like he did in his prime but he could still hold a tune.

S Club 7 were hit and miss. G4 live at the Peterborough Cathedral was the worst we have seen.

Many years ago I saw a Roxy Music tribute. The singer was very good but he was out of sinc with his band. Every now and then they had to stop and regroup. It was probably the most entertaining act I have ever seen.

Cher was the absolute worst.Melissa Manchester was the best. Allison Krauss gets honorable mention.

@gurlwatcher22 Interesting about Cher. Like Leona who could not be bothered.
Probably the best singer was Geddy Lee. I'm not a huge fan of guys who sing that octave, however, Rush was simply awesome live.

For the worse, other than some local groups, many of the ones I would list actually have bad singing as part of their sound. Like Fred Schneider with the B-52's. Les Claypool struggled singing some of the Rush songs on the Farewell to Kings tour.
I saw Paul Simon on the Rhythm of the Saints tour where he also played and sang much of Graceland. Spectacular.

Dunno about the worst.

Haven't seen her live but I can't imagine how bad Macy Gray would be. Pure torture
