Birthday Thoughts

Turned 45 last Saturday - bought myself a few new dresses as a treat--they turned out to be a little slittier than expected, but perfect as something lighter for all these hot summer days. Back to working out a lot - walking 2 to 4 miles before work every morning--will bump it up to 6 in a week or two. Early mornings on wooded trails means time to think; working on stories & writing in my head; paying attention to all the little critters that live along the creek near my house. Saw a fox along the waterline this morning, healthy and strong; a good omen. A family of Canadian geese and ducks playing in the water; a mama deer and her baby, grazing by the side of the trail.
