Frozen pipes

Merry Christmas to me. My gift? The well froze up last night. I've had this house for 9 years and never had the well freeze up before.

Fortunately, an extension cord and a blow dryer seems to have done the trick. Growing up back in Ohio we'd have to let water run at a trickle overnight just in case. Never thought I'd need to do that here in Central Florida. Ah well.

Your pipes are not built to withstand the temperatures like the materials used in colder regions. I think this should be a stabdard across tbe US despite weather.

Though I still don't know why we need to drip water in the faucets either. 馃ぃ
@JaggedLittlePill Even when I lived in wisconsin during the polar vortex we never wasted water letting the facuet drip and never had an issue.
