I think it is remarkably united given the diversity of cultural and historical backgrounds. Anyone who calls themself European is part of the European nation, irrespective of the political status of the country they live in.

@SunshineGirl I agree. It is something badly missing in the UK.

@SunshineGirl honey.. are serbians the swiss russians and norwegians europeans too?
SW-User
@erika88 Croatians are, Norwegians too, as are Souther Irish, just about. St Petersburg certainly is, but not the Russian Empire the East. Serbia an outlier, like Northern Ireland.culturally rich and diverse..

@SW-User If you want to be European, you can be European. My view didn't change when we left the EU. Shared history and culture are more important than transient politics.

@SW-User
so it doesnt matter if they are in EU or not they are still europeans
its wrong calling someone europeans just because his nation is in EU
EU is just a political organization

its stupid to say the english are not europeans anymore
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@erika88 They can be. More unites us than divides us. I am English, Polish, Welsh, and even a little German at times.
erika88 · 26-30, F
@SunshineGirl they ARE europeans too
just outside of EU

@erika88 Yes, exactly. There are Europeans living on the other side of the world too. Sometines they compete in Eurovision song contest 🇦🇺
erika88 · 26-30, F
@SunshineGirl LOL i never understood why australians compete there too 😂😂
or azerbaijan and izrael .. what a silly show HAHA
@erika88 Technically, yes, they're all on the same continent.
@erika88 If they are members of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) they can enter any Eurovision event, not just the Eurovision Song Contest.
