Hurricane Helene

This storm really did a path of destruction in its wake, especially in North Carolina. Small towns have literally been wiped off the map. People are in dire need of help from this horrific storm. No food, water, power, roads blocked or wiped out, and not even cellular service to contact family and friends. Hundreds have still not been located, rescued or even found.

They really need your prayers and support in this historic times. Be grateful for what you have, and if you can, please send anything you can (big or small) to help them. No one should have to go through this suffering alone.

The American Red Cross is where you can go if you can help.

-Thank you so much

Just saw a YouTuber do over an hour long documentary on NC 7 months later last night. Still a mess there, long way to go

I still have a family member staying with me because of that storm

@Bklynbadboy12 Wow!!! That's a LONG time! I hope and pray that your family member tries very hard to reclaim their life and recover!

@KallieGB We might be neighbors!

We loved Asheville sooo much when we were there in August - stayed couple extra days. Saw a pix of water up to the top of the White Duck taco stand - I loveee that place.

We're no strangers to flash floods here in The Driftless. Not hard to understand why people choose to put down roots along beautiful waters. Just so devastating when the waters bite.

I am very, very grateful that I was one of the lucky ones...who got through this storm almost unscathed. Even people within a few miles of me, are dealing with massive loss and turmoil. 😞
And if it wasn't for tiktok I wouldn't have found out about Chimney Rock and Asheville being decimated..

@greensnacks We didn't even really know what was going on until Sunday. News couldn't get in so our only source of information was social media.

I know. Very quaint little town just gone. 😢
