When all the horrible footage of the storm was on youtube ,I thought of you and several others,here...I hope insurance covers the damage for the homes

@bookerdana It is surreal almost. Like hard to comprehend the level of destruction after thinking it was just a near miss for all of us.
A couple of towns just north of here are actually gone. Swept away by the river.

@bookerdana Sadly many insurance companies refuse to cover certain kinds of disaster policies in particular areas because of just how frequent they are, and those companies that do the premiums are an arm and a leg.

@NativePortlander1970 That is very true where we used to live in Florida but thankfully this isn't common here. The last time I saw anything even close to this was back in 2004.
