Small fire happening here near where I live.

Yet its more on the outside of the city in the hills. Around 500 acres burnt already. Zero percent containment. One person badly hurt as a result of this fire.

Thing is the area where it's burning hasn't had a fire in many decades, so lots to burn. Mostly very expensive houses in those hills. Likely why the news from LA is even talking about this fire.

Few actually will be effected near the city itself. It's a very remote area where those expensive houses are. One known expensive ranch is mostly burned down. They say five more are currently burning.

This fire could effect a well known landmark area if it continues on through the night.

Update days two later.

The Fairview fire has exploded to 19,377 acres from it's initial 500 acre beginnings. It now has expanded far beyond the area that I once lived to the west and very near another I once lived as well towards the south. Very few paved roads are in that whole area that the fire is occurring. And not many dwellings either. Yet they are saying up to 5,000 homes are effected.

Todate no further injuries or deaths have happened other than the initial two deaths and one severe injury.

Further details of those deaths and injuries have been made available. All three were traveling in the same car in order to escape the fire. The injury was a women with severe burns who is currently in the hospital in stable a condition.

The containment of the fire is still at 5%. Fire crews were able to rescue several people who were trapped by the flames yesterday.

A care and reception area for evacuees was established at Tahquitz High School. The Red Cross opened a second shelter at the Temecula Community Recreation Center. This is far to the west of the area

According to the Riverside County Fire Department's website, 33 engine companies, six air tankers and four helicopters were deployed to fight the blaze.

Officials with the Hemet Unified School District said campuses would remain closed Wednesday and until further notice as a result of the fire.

Southern California Edison notified the California Public Utilities Commission on Tuesday that "circuit activity" occurred at the approximate time that the Fairview Fire started.

Water officials have issued a boil water notice for dozens of residents in certain areas.

Today's evacuation area.

10 pm. Fire update. 2,000 acres burned. Yet 2 to 5% contained.

Two confirmed deaths now. No statements made as to who. One other injury. Could be one emergency response of some type. The first death was a definite resident.

Seven structures completely destroyed. Several others burning.

1,500 residents evacuated in the area.

Evacuation area.

I'm actually within a mile of that evacuation area. Hard to believe it's grown that large so quickly.

Update one day later. Fire has grown to 4,500 acres. No further injuries or deaths. Containment still at 5%.

Not looking good though. Temperature at 110°f or 43.33°c. No chance of any precipitation.

Evacuation area is about ⅓ larger. It covers approximately 15,000 acres. Not many houses going to the south where it has grown. Should note there is a prison of sorts in that area that few know about further south.

New evacuation area.

Previous evacuation area.

Oh dear….hope they’re able to contain it 🤞😕

@Vivaci no idea now. No news at this time frame. And it's completely dark now. 😞

Would have to be there in the middle of it to say anything.

That’s terrible.

@Carissimi I lived once a few miles west of that area. There was once a fire near by and to the south. I stayed to potect my half brother's property. He didn't. Now I understand he had family and needed to be certain his family was ok.

Yet he never came back or even called about me. That's the type of people that live there.
