If you are an environmentalist

Then you should be boycotting anything made in China AND screaming for even higher tariffs.

You should be speaking out about farmers / farming practices as growing corn is killing us, wildlife and oceans since the herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers are going in to our drinking water, lakes, rivers and oceans. Not only that they are killing off wildlife by tiling out wet lands, killing off birds by killing all the insects they eat and removing natural habitat they need to survive. I am totally against those that claim climate change is caused by using petroleum products and by man in general but I live in a state that is big pro agriculture and compared to thirty years ago it looks like a wasteland now.

@acpguy I shouldn’t be speaking of it, you should be boycotting it, if you are a environmentalist

I have already boycotted Chinese websites such as Temu and Rosewe and Shein.

@BlueGreenGrey Elementary. Because the rest of the world was literally in shambles from WWII and the U.S. had little to no competition on the global market. We were the only supplier in town, so to speak.

@Sevendays It didn't happen the last time Trump tariffed China. They manipulate their currency to offset.

If China is boycotted then production of goods will move to other countries to no environmental advantage
MyGirlPhotoswell · 61-69, M
@Anniedlr where?
Anniedlr · 26-30, F
@MyGirlPhotoswell There are numerous possibilities- the USA, Japan, Germany, India to name a few🙂

@Anniedlr Those countries you mentioned, other than India, the cost of manufacturing would be as high as they would be in America if not higher. China has no environmental regulations as well as no labor standards.
If you define environmentalism as flushing the economy down the commode. You wouldn't be alone

@BlueGreenGrey Well, true I don’t want to go without my A/C or my v-8 pickup truck to save the life of some lizard , but I do enjoy pristine streams and lakes to trout fish in.
