Firefighting

Shortly after 2am on Tuesday morning we were awoken by the sound of a woman in the street outside our home having an animated conversation with a friend on speakerphone. Her friend had an ailment and the woman was offering "medical advice" that my wife - a registered nurse - could tell was incorrect and potentially dangerous. Despite having completed a 12 hour hospital shift and being just 4 hours away from having to get up for the next one, she put on her dressing gown and went outside. The woman was a little surprised at being approached in the middle of the night by an angelic being, but took my wife's advice reasonably gracefully. While they were talking in the road a small queue of traffic built up - thanks to my wife's white nightdress they were visible in the dark - and a cheerful soul in a ridiculously large SUV decided to beep his horn 🤦‍♀

It is no concern of mine why people are out and about in a residential suburb at 2am in the morning, but whatever your reason - insomnia, badger watching, housebreaking, drug dealing - please be aware and considerate of those around you. Especially the boring traditionalists who are trying to get a bit of sleep before going back to work 🤷‍♀

I bet your wife is a wonderful nurse bless her heart! 😇😇😇 I have a massive fear of needles so please tell her if we ever meet to not bring a needle with her! 🤗🤗🤗 I'm a baby when it comes to needles so my mom or husband comes with me and I pay for some numbing cream and that is how I got though the covid needles which I was determined to do because it was the right thing to do though I was scared and frightened sooooooo much I really REALLY hate needles! 😭😭😭

@MommyLucy She is an angel 😇 There is no easy way with needles. But she does have a technique of making children laugh so much that they don't notice the needle going in 😊

At 2.00am it's usually the intoxicated in need of a taxi, everything closes early in my area I never really appreciated this until I read your story.

I have a Wild Life camera set-up still waiting to catch my first Badger.
