What changed or never came back after the pandemic?

Working from home is now a permanent thing at many companies.

Parking spaces reserved for “curbside pickup” have not gone away. I still see them in many parking lots.

Grocery prices are higher than ever and will likely never come down (that is, they will only rise more slowly).

The time when we thought “reaching across the aisle” could solve anything is over. It is effectively every man for himself. The pandemic didn’t make us come together, it had the opposite effect of making everyone more isolated and self-interested. I’m not all pessimistic about the future but I do think the effects of the pandemic were mostly negative, and it did so much damage to society.
@WestonTexan Honestly, I never realized curbside pickup wasn’t available before the pandemic. I still think it might have been a government experiment no matter how many people deny this claim
