From a purely Scientific Materialist POV, is it bad if Humanity goes Extinct?

If no one sentient is around to care?

Or would it be just (as I suspect) really, really funny?

We believe in human extinction through VOLUNTARILY not breeding. We phase out and have an opportunity to dismantle some of the harmful things we've created on this earth.
