From a purely Scientific Materialist POV, is it bad if Humanity goes Extinct?

If no one sentient is around to care?

Or would it be just (as I suspect) really, really funny?

@NerdyPotato Agreed in theory. But in practice every year we stay alive as a race/species, the more likely we will take the world with us one way or another.
