the climate has been changing for 4 billion years or so....... what else is new. and its gonna be changing long after we are gone.

@MayorOfCrushtown The current changes are historic.

@Elessar we'll be killed off by aliens and reptilian humanoids long before the climate has a chance to take us out. LOL
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@MayorOfCrushtown yes and no. Yes the climate has changed over millennia, however the problem isn't so much "will the planet survive", it will, the question is will it be able to sustain mammal life. Because if it can't, humanity's future looks pretty bleak.

@MayorOfCrushtown Tell that to the Hawaiians
SomeMichGuy · M
@MayorOfCrushtown I'm not sure to which Luddite scoffers you've been listening, but there is a huge amount of different lines of very painstaking research which says that they are wrong.

@Synyster Did you listen to the early coverage? It had been unnaturally dry.
Hawai'i famously has the side of a mountain where they used to get 800+" of rainfall per year.
Dry is odd.
Tinder is very odd.
Yeah, an electrical line ignited it, but "too dry" created the precondition for the line to catch something on fire.

@SomeMichGuy Hey, believe whatever you hear and want.
We've got more fires on the go than any other country and they are still burning. Imagine a dozen fires in Quebec starting up all at the exact same time. 🤔
I'll stick to my theory.

@Synyster okay, here's the thing with any good conspiracy that actually happened. There has to be a profit motive behind it.
Now, who pays more. Research scientists with a middle class income or oil billionaires.
Hint: the latter says there's no climate change and actually has a motive to lie.

I do not disagree on this at all.

We can change it if we all go out and buy a Tesla. You see, Musk is tired of being just a silly billionaire, he wants to be a trillionaire.

If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to see it, does that mean climate change knocked it down? 🤔🥴
