Do you think electric cars being mainstream will improve global warming ?

Absolutely not. We are nowhere near to being able to produce enough electricity to power that many electric vehicles. Unless somebody comes up with a new viable energy source we will continue to use gasoline powered vehicles in most of the world for a very long time.
