I Worry About Global Warming

I do. I hear dreadful things happening. And I wonder what will happen where I live. I heard global warming can cause cooling in some places. We don’t usually have frost til October. But this week Dad was driving me to the bus stop and there was ice on the hair pin bend at the bottom of the hill off the mountain.

Worrying is not going to do anything. What are you personally doing to lessen the effects?
daisymay · 51-55, T
@MarkPaul Oh the vanguard of "Well, why didn't you try to stop us from fucking up the planet" questions has arrived.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@daisymay Well, what are you doing to be a responsible steward of the land?
daisymay · 51-55, T
@MarkPaul I'll answer your bullshit this one time:

We recycle, we carpool kids to school, I work from home (probably the biggest carbon footprint drop), we minimize electricity usage, we have rainwater collection, we have solar panels

Now, how about you stop trying to dictate how others should feel about climate change?

I just try to reduce what we spend on energy. Like I am up at 4.30 each morning because of feeding the sheep and I switch off lights as I don’t need them. It is dark now at that time. And it will be til April. Also when I get up I feel my way round the house rather than switch on lights. @MarkPaul

@daisymay What? You sanctimonious and defensive asshole. I'm not dictating how people should live and nothing in any of my statements suggests that. Stop acting like a spoiled moron.

@MarkPaul Did you not write this?
Worrying is not going to do anything
That would be an implied command to stop worrying about climate change. Call me some more names, it really helps!
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@daisymay As you wish. Only a pure-idiot would take my statement that you accurately cut-and-pasted to mean I am dictating how someone should live his/her life.
daisymay · 51-55, T
@MarkPaul You literally said what someone was doing wasn't helpful. It implies that they should stop. It's a really basic English grammar concept that we all learned in grade school.

Don't you have some better insults?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@daisymay I don't, sweetie. I think you have an authority anger issue you should look into. I doubt you will. And, I fear you will assume my suggestion is an attempt to tell you how to live your life.
daisymay · 51-55, T
@MarkPaul You do keep telling other people what to do, and then acting like you're not telling them what to do.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@daisymay Let's say that I am. What possible difference would it make coming from a random stranger on the Internet? Do you know how to think?
daisymay · 51-55, T
@MarkPaul Yes, which is why I called out your question to begin with. And then you wanted to try and "gotcha" me with the same stupid question. And now here we are.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@daisymay We are here because you think I am trying to tell you and others what to do. Instead, I am trying to challenge you to think for yourself and beyond your own BS.
daisymay · 51-55, T
@MarkPaul Ah, right my opinions are BS and yours are truth. Okay, bye now!
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@daisymay Oki. Thanks for stopping in.
