Global warming is caused by cell phone use

Twenty years ago we had cars with powerful v6 and v8 engines, some of them, because of wear and tear, blew smoke rings from their exhausts that would make a volcano weep. Back then there was no evidence for any type of global warming. Nowadays cars are fitted with catalyst inverters that cleans exhaust fumes, so emissions can't be to blame for global warming. BUT... Cell phone use increased drastically so it is just logical that all these tiktok and facebook addicts are the sole reason for global warming. The strong 3-5G signals heat up the air. I am on computer so I can't be held accountable. But YOU are guilty. Switch off your cell phones!

Hopefully this is supposed to be a comically ignorant post full of sarcasm. Otherwise it's just ridiculously ill informed.

@NodandaWink I don't think Anton has enough brain cells remaining to be sarcastic.

@NodandaWink I think he might be fighting for the 'right' to pollute but there is truth to it. My understanding is the manufacturing of electronics creates about the same amount of CO2 emission as all the planes in the world combined. The mining for materials and smelting plays a big part in it

@Ynotisay I've heard that as well. It's unfortunate that our addiction to these little rectangular boxes has this kind of cost.

@LordShadowfire You're right. What's interesting to me is how precious materials went in to the first phones seemingly without much consideration of the long game and what it takes to get those materials. It's just like oil. A finite resource. You'd think we'd learn to avoid those things initially.

@Ynotisay That's humans in a nutshell. "Hey, look. These resources literally come right out of the ground. They must be infinite."
Ynotisay · M
@LordShadowfire Seems to be the case. Over and over we just take, create damage and then try to adjust when it's too late. So I guess we get what we deserve.

@Ynotisay I wrote a short story once, which I can't currently locate, in which a human accidentally discovers that we were designed for the purpose of terraforming planets.

@LordShadowfire Good one. We're on our way with this one. And I imagine we would move on to others, destroy them over time, and then move on. Maybe that's the long-term human lane. Destroyers of the universe. :)

@Ynotisay I also made it the backstory of Corvus. He comes from a planet that was ruined by humans in a nuclear holocaust, of which his species is a direct result because of the lack of humans and plenty of mutagenic crap left over. He came to Earth with the intention of saving it from us.
Ynotisay · M
@LordShadowfire Right on. Then I'm Team Corvus. 👍
