What channel? I always enjoyed British comedy. One show in particular was the Dave Allen show.
Watching a British series right now. Called ROYAL. About a hospital and its staff. Quite good.

@Carissimi if just love comedy then I wouldn't watch The Royal or Heartbeat. If you want British Situation Comedy try things like Blackadder, Only Fools and Horses, Allo Allo. If you want British Comedians try Frankie Boyle, Al Murray, Peter Kay or Jimmy Carr.

I could spend most of my evenings watching The Benny Hill Show and Monty Python’s Flying Circus!

Oh, too, bad, I am in the US. When I was growing up here, PBS (Public Broadcasting System) stations used to carry a lot of British shows, including Benny Hill and Monty Python. PBS gets a little government funding, I think, but I think a lot comes from donations. It is commercial free.
We do get BBC America and some channels carry BBC News, and stuff like Prime Minister's Questions. The BBC America shows a lot of Star Trek The Next Generation, and Star Trek Deep Space Nine. The love Patrick Stewart!
Addendum: I just looked at you page and realized you are in the US. I just assumed you were in the UK. Sorry.
