@Carissimi @soar2newhighs The Royal is a spin off of another show called Heartbeat which is also based in Yorkshire. Amazingly Heartbeat was on for like 18 years and was always based in the 1960s lol. Which is kind of funny the cast growing nearly 20 years older when the series was only supposed to be over 10 years.

@Carissimi if just love comedy then I wouldn't watch The Royal or Heartbeat. If you want British Situation Comedy try things like Blackadder, Only Fools and Horses, Allo Allo. If you want British Comedians try Frankie Boyle, Al Murray, Peter Kay or Jimmy Carr.
