I hate them not good for you and cause anxiety
Andromedanian · 26-30, M
@AnnTeresaMcNeil I have anxiety and drink them often, when I don't have energy, i get depressed because I'm not able to get through my day and get all my activities done. Kinda sucks, it's like you have to chose between anxiety or depression, hehe

cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
a good way to make money off of those who get addicted to them.

I think they're hocus pocus, and might even be hazardous to health long term.

Expensive, pointless, potentially dangerous.
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
I mean I drink coffee so pretty much the same thing I think
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
@Miklee02 energy drinks have a lot more stuff in them than coffee or tea does
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
@cherokeepatti yeah but everything in moderation…. Except coffee of course 😅
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
@Miklee02 I can’t drink much coffee, limit it to one cup
4meAndyou · F
I think about trying them now and then when I've been dragging around feeling like a zombie, but they are very expensive, and I've heard they taste horrible.

Full of sugar like most of the rest, rotting our kids teeth making us fat and giving us type two diabetes !
Andromedanian · 26-30, M
@Barny52 Dang, it's true though
Barny52 · 61-69, M
@Andromedanian @Andromedanian sugar and carbs are addictive like drugs!!
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
When i know i need high energy i go to protien drinks, and vegetable drinks. I stay away from monsters or redbull drinks, im not found of the taste of them for starters.
I buy the sugar free ones and sip on it all night at work.
FreestyleArt · 36-40, M
Too much sugar. Plus the rush from it doesn't last long.

Borderline dangerous. In fact, no, they are dangerous.
WhateverWorks · 36-40
They do the trick during desperate times, but long-term are pretty bad for your health.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
I had a Red Bull once and it made me jittery for hours .
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
Marketing calories.
Most of them taste like acid reflux.
DDonde · 31-35, M
Can end up being addictive, kinda like coffee.
I do use them from time to time though for work.

It's basically a mega dose of caffeine. Not really good for you, definitely not for everyday use, and some people shouldn't have them at all.
RogueLoner · M
Never touch them. What I don't understand is WHY people in their late teens, 20's, and 30's need energy drinks. When I was in my 20's thru 50's I had more than enough enough energy for 10 people.
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
@RogueLoner I knew someone who was drinking them for energy to help him work. He was said to be a hard worker. But it seems it would go against him in the long run.
Andromedanian · 26-30, M
@RogueLoner Honestly I've heard a lot of older people say that and I wish I experienced the same level of energy they did when my age. I drink them often almost daily basis but i have like "detox week" every so often. I honestly wouldn't take them if I didn't need them, however every time I've tried to go sober, o really am not able to push through my day while completing every task that I have.

I have a full time job, on the side I try to workout and stay in shape for me, not for anyone else, but i have a fitness gig so it's part of my side job I guess. Also I study everyday so, honestly, to me it's not possible to get all my goals accomplish without any "extra help".
RogueLoner · M
@Andromedanian "Energy" drinks are in business to make money. Without 'clients' such as you, the energy drink companies go out of business. The high you get from these drinks is countered when they wear off, likely by a double negative feeling of low. You think the energy drink is picking you up, when in reality, your dependency is ultimately bringing you down - so you drink more. Just my 'uneducated' opinion.

NIKE didn't invent the phrase "just do it". WE were saying and practicing that in the early 70's.
