The energy is abundant and inexhaustible; though obviously not "renewable". That adjective is as much just greenery jargon as "nett zero" and "zero carbon".
For energy can be neither created nor destroyed, only transferred or converted.
It's the conversion from free, natural mechanical and light energy to electricity in a transmissable and usable form that is so expensive.
There are no "trojan horses" though. No secrets at all. The so-called "green levy" has been running and public knowledge for a long time now.
And no, I don't like the levy either.
