In a bold display of patience and pettiness, a woman in China pulled off what might be the most luxurious revenge stunt of the year. After being treated rudely by Louis Vuitton staff during a previous visit, she returned to the store but this time, she came prepared. She walked in carrying 600,000 RMB in cash (about $84,000), all in small bills, and asked to make a purchase.
The staff, suddenly much more attentive, began counting the piles of cash every single note which took them over two hours. But just as they finished and assumed the sale was sealed, she delivered the ultimate twist: she bought nothing. With a calm demeanor, she gathered her things and walked out, leaving behind nothing but awkward silence and counted stacks of regret.
This wasn’t about making a purchase it was about making a point. That money may talk, but sometimes silence and a slow burn speak louder. And if revenge is best served cold, this woman just delivered it ice cold… in a designer store.
