Would you garbage pick?
Sometimes when I'm running on garbage day I'll see some good stuff. It's not like I go digging through bags but if there's decent usable stuff why not? My friends say it's embarrassing and shameful.

As long as it's actually benefitting you to do so and you aren't just accumulating clutter, it's fine.
