Would you garbage pick?

Sometimes when I'm running on garbage day I'll see some good stuff. It's not like I go digging through bags but if there's decent usable stuff why not? My friends say it's embarrassing and shameful.

I wouldn't personally because i know the kinds of diseases people can carry. Certain communicable diseases can have the virus, or bacteria live on them. Even if i tried to clean it myself it's a chance I'm not willing to take.
