If an employee tells you "have a nice day"...

... do you tell them "you too" ? i mean they are at work and propably have a bunch of more miserable hours ahead of them. feels kinda like mocking them to me

am i thinking to much into this ?

Being one of those people who has to be at work dealing with mostly cranky people I appreciate it when someone says something nice like that.
