You should record a creepy message on your phone, use some voice changing app to make it sound weird, then set it to play back just loudly enough that he can only just hear it, and hide your phone under his bed. Plus attach cotton to things in his room on shelves and feed the cotton under the bedroom door, so you can make things mysteriously jump off shelves by pulling the thread.
