I mean I know that we won't always see eye to eye with each other, but I've noticed a lot more arguing and personal attacks than usual as of late.

In a way it's simple... the anonymity (and disconnectedness) of the internet allows people to be rude, crude, cowardly, mean, etc etc. That's unlikely to change.
