Wasn't laurel used to weave crowns in ancient Greece? It was a mark of great honor, but it was temporary as the green leaves would wilt and fall off.

@pennynoodles: Have no desire to rule, but willing to serve. Job may be the same, but the attitude is different. No need for a crown in doing so.
